Alishan
Alishan National Forest Recreation area is situated in the middle of the central Taiwan. If you want to travel to the Alishan , you can catch the Alishan express train from Chiayi city. Alishan is famous for its sunrise, sunsets and you can experience sea of clouds. There is much more to explore like tea gardens, greenery and the native culture. You can explore the entire Alishan in almost two days by walking because there are many scenic trails and stairs and it requires great amount of energy but it will be worth it when you will experience charming view of Alishan.
Taichung

Kaohsiung
Kaohsiung used to be a trading village back in the days but after centuries it became one of the busiest harbor of Taiwan. Kaohsiung is situated near the water of the Taiwan Strait. Cijin is the narrow island where city is surrounded by the sea, you can take the ferry ride from the city’s downtown, Cijin is also famous for fishing. Best way to explore the town is to rent a bicycle.
Tianhou temple is also one of the famous attraction of the Kaohsiung which is dedicated to the goddess Matzu. Hualien

Tainan
To start exploring the city, you can visit the Anping district first which is just half an hour away from the center of the city if you take the bus.
